In difficult times, he can count on the support of his parents but especially, that of his service dog, Mahe. Mahe has been part of the family for two and a half years. And since his arrival, he never leaves! James recently underwent an MRI to diagnose his seizures, and Mahe was allowed to accompany him.
James, like all children of his age, likes to play and have fun. Even if he is suffering from autism, his family tries to show him that this should not prevent him from having fun.
To help her, her parents decided to give her a service dog. Mahe is like a guardian angel. It prevents James from taking indiscriminate risks, and from hurting himself. James loves his dog so much that he decided to raise money to help people who can not afford to have their own help dog.
The ties between James and Mahe are very strong. "There is so much magic between an autistic child and a dog, dogs really calm children," says Wendy Isaacs, who works for the organization that formed Mahe. "Children will keep an eye on a dog they do not necessarily offer to their own parent or siblings. "

To pass an MRI, James was put under general anesthesia. Mahe stands as a sleeping boy, without moving. He is devoted to his master. According to his mother, Michelle Isaac, the dog seemed very concerned. "Mahe was as important to James in the difficult and stressful times as in those of joy, discovery and play.
